This is an original Tibetan Thangka painting with cotton brocade depicting the 7 Chakras and Kundalini energy associated with Yoga. In Sanskrit, the word "chakra" means "wheel," symbolizing the flow of energy in our bodies. Our bodies have seven chakras, which are energy centers that regulate emotions. Their origin can be traced back to early Hinduism and Buddhism, which discuss the chakras‘ shifting nature.
Kundalini is a dormant, sleeping potential force in the human organism. It is a component of the esoteric description of the “subtle body," which consists of nadis (energy channels), chakras (psychic centers), prana (subtle energy), and Bindu (drops of essence).
The seven chakras are:
1. Muladhara Chakra - Root, situated at the base of the spine.
2. Svadhishthana Chakra - Sacral.
3. Manipura Chakra - Solar Plexus.
4. Anahata Chakra - Heart Chakra.
5. Vishuddha Chakra - Throat.
6. Ajna Chakra - Third Eye.
7. Sahasrara Chakra - Crown of Head.
