This is an original hand-painted Tibetan Thangka of Avalokiteshvara, also known as Lokeshwor or Chenrezig. He is the Bodhisattva of compassion and one of the most revered figures in Buddhist tradition.

The name Lokeshwor means “Lord who looks upon the world.” It refers to his boundless compassion for all living beings. In Buddhist belief, Avalokiteshvara hears the cries of suffering and responds with kindness, protection, and wisdom.

Because of his deep compassion, Avalokiteshvara is often honored first in many Buddhist practices. Devotees pray to him for peace, guidance, and spiritual strength.

This Thangka is carefully hand-painted on cotton canvas using water-based pigments and gold details. The artwork is mounted with a traditional silk brocade border, giving it an authentic Himalayan presentation suitable for sacred display.

Every line and color is created by hand by skilled artists using traditional methods passed down through generations.

This is not a print. It is a genuine hand-painted Thangka.
