This is an original semi-old Tibetan Thangka of Padmasambhava, also known as Guru Rinpoche. The painting is finished with a traditional smoke technique, giving it a soft shine while protecting the surface and enhancing its depth.

Guru Rinpoche is one of the most important figures in Tibetan Buddhism. In the 8th century, he was invited by King Trisong Detsen and the master Santaraksita to help establish Buddhism in Tibet. Through his spiritual power, he subdued local forces and transformed them into protectors of the Dharma. His teachings laid the foundation of Vajrayana Buddhism, especially within the Nyingma tradition.
