This hand-painted Amitayus (Aparmita) Thangka is a traditional Tibetan Buddhist artwork representing the Buddha of Infinite Life. Also known as Tsepame, Amitayus is the longevity form of Buddha Amitabha and is deeply connected with health, long life, and spiritual merit.
According to the Larger Sutra of Immeasurable Life, Amitayus created a Pure Land through the accumulation of boundless merit across countless lifetimes. He promises that those who call upon him with sincere faith at the moment of death will be guided to his Pure Land, where they are freed from suffering and continue their path toward enlightenment.
