Paubha, or Pauva, is a traditional painting style of the Newar communities, the original inhabitants of the Kathmandu Valley. These primarily religious artworks depict deities, mandalas, or monuments and serve as objects of meditation. In purpose and style, they are similar to Tibetan Thangkas.
