This is a small hand-painted Milarepa Tibetan Thangka, beautifully bordered with traditional silk brocade. The painting depicts Jetsun Milarepa, one of the most beloved yogis and spiritual masters in Tibetan Buddhism.
Milarepa is known for his remarkable life story. In his early years, he lived a troubled life. Still, through deep repentance, discipline, and meditation under the guidance of his teacher Marpa Lotsawa, he became one of Tibet’s greatest enlightened masters. His songs and teachings about meditation and spiritual awakening remain influential in the Kagyu lineage of Tibetan Buddhism.
Milarepa is often depicted seated in meditation, with his hand near his ear, symbolizing his listening to the inner truth and the songs of realization he shared with his students.
This Thangka is carefully painted on cotton canvas using natural stone pigments, following traditional Himalayan painting methods. The elegant silk brocade frame enhances the sacred appearance and makes it suitable for display in meditation rooms, shrines, yoga spaces, or spiritual home décor.
This artwork serves not only as decoration but also as a symbol of perseverance, transformation, and spiritual awakening.
