Original Hand-Painted Manjushri Thangka Painting Featuring the Five Dhyani Buddhas, Flanked by Chenrezig and Vajrapani
This exquisite hand-painted thangka showcases Manjushri, the Bodhisattva of Transcendent Wisdom, seated at the center in radiant serenity. With his flaming sword held aloft in his right hand and a sacred text (Prajnaparamita Sutra) resting on a lotus in his left, Manjushri cuts through ignorance and illuminates the path of insight and clarity.
Surrounding him are the Five Dhyani Buddhas—Akshobhya, Ratnasambhava, Amitabha, Amoghasiddhi, and Vairocana—each representing a specific aspect of enlightened mind and antidote to the five poisons. Their presence signifies the full spectrum of awakened qualities: wisdom, compassion, equanimity, fearlessness, and purity.
Flanking Manjushri on either side are two powerful Bodhisattvas:
Chenrezig (Avalokiteshvara), the embodiment of compassion, radiates boundless loving-kindness toward all beings.
Vajrapani, the guardian of tantric teachings, symbolizes strength, protection, and the power of enlightened action.
The painting is adorned with intricate lotus thrones, luminous halos, and traditional Tibetan motifs, rendered in vivid natural mineral pigments and detailed gold accents. Every element—from the flowing robes to the sacred symbols—has been meticulously painted by skilled Nepali artists following centuries-old thangka tradition.
