This is an original, hand-painted, high-quality masterpiece of Adi Shakti Buddha Vajradhara Tibetan Thangka Painting. The Vajradhara is finely painted with gold and natural stone colors. Buddha Vajradhara is the primordial Buddha, also known as the Dharmakaya Buddha. He is depicted as dark blue in color, expressing the personification of Buddhahood itself. He represents the essence of the historical Buddha’s realization of enlightenment.

Historically, Prince Siddhartha attained enlightenment under the Bodhi tree in Bodhgaya around 2500 years ago and manifested as the Buddha of the present time. According to Buddhist cosmology, he was the Fourth Historic Buddha. Prince Siddhartha’s achievement of enlightenment, the realization, or wisdom of enlightenment itself, is called the dharmakaya, the body of truth. The dharmakaya, synonymous with Vajradhara Buddha, is the source of all the manifestations of enlightenment. Buddha Vajradhara is believed to be the supreme essence of all (male) Buddhas. Buddha Vajradhara is the Tantric form of Sakyamuni Buddha and is regarded as the father of the Tantras.
