GREEN TARA SYMBOL OF GOOD FORTUNE AND PROSPERITY
This original hand-painted Green Tara Tibetan Thangka was created on handmade cotton canvas using natural and watercolors. The Thangka is bordered with cotton traditionally. Green Tara is believed to be a spiritual consort of Amogasiddhi Buddha. In the Buddhist tradition, Tara is viewed as a beneficent figure that brings good fortune and prosperity. We use natural colors, including gold, to illustrate various aspects of life, creation, and the universe.
This is an aging oil-varnished Thangka. A thin layer of oil has been applied to the painting to preserve its longevity and protect it from moisture. The painting exhibits signs of aging, such as wrinkles and color fading.
