About White Tara
White Tara is one of the most revered deities in Tibetan Buddhism, symbolizing purity, compassion, and longevity. She is often referred to as the “Mother of All Buddhas,” representing the nurturing and healing energy that guides sentient beings toward enlightenment.
In this Thangka, White Tara is depicted seated gracefully on a lotus throne, her seven eyes (located on her face, palms, and soles) symbolizing her omniscient compassion and ability to perceive the suffering of all beings. Her right hand is in the Varada Mudra (gesture of granting blessings), while her left hand holds a lotus flower, representing purity and spiritual awakening.
