This is an original hand-painted Tibetan Thangka of the Wheel of Life (Bhavachakra / Samsara Mandala). It is finished with oil varnish, giving it extra shine and long-lasting protection. The painting is framed in premium silk brocade, making it a high-quality masterwork suitable for home décor, meditation rooms, teaching spaces, or spiritual collections.

What the Wheel of Life Represents

The Wheel of Life is one of the most important symbols in Tibetan Buddhism. It shows how life, death, and rebirth (samsara) happen again and again. Every detail in the painting teaches a part of Buddhist philosophy:

• Yama, the Lord of Death, holds the wheel, showing that life is temporary.
• Center Circle: three animals—pig, bird, snake—show the three poisons: ignorance, attachment, and anger.
• Second Ring: one half light, one half dark—showing good and bad karma.
• Six Realms: gods, demi-gods, humans, animals, hungry ghosts, and hell beings—showing all possible rebirths.
• Outer Ring: twelve sections showing the chain of dependent origination (how suffering arises).
• Above the Wheel: the Buddha points to the moon, symbolizing the path to freedom beyond suffering.
