### White Tara – Goddess of Compassion and Longevity

White Tara, also known as Sita Tara, is one of the most revered female figures in Tibetan and Himalayan Buddhism. She embodies compassion, purity, wisdom, and peaceful enlightened activity.

Traditionally associated with healing and longevity, White Tara is a popular subject for Buddhist meditation, prayer, and devotional art.

Her seven eyes, on her face, forehead, palms, and soles, symbolize her compassionate awareness of all beings‘ suffering.

Her peaceful expression represents serenity and wisdom, while her white complexion symbolizes purity and the selfless nature of enlightened compassion.

### Traditional Newari Paubha Craftsmanship

Paubha is a centuries-old sacred painting tradition practiced by Nepal‘s Newar communities in the Kathmandu Valley. These paintings depict Buddhist and Hindu deities, mandalas, and sacred subjects used for religious devotion and contemplation.

Although historically related to Tibetan Thangka painting, Newari Paubha has its own distinctive artistic style, composition, and craftsmanship.

This White Tara painting is meticulously created using natural stone pigments on handmade cotton canvas. Its traditional smoke-treated finish gives the surface a subtle aged appearance and distinctive visual character.

The optional silk brocade provides an elegant traditional presentation for hanging on a wall or displaying in a sacred space.

### Perfect for Display and Gifting

This White Tara Paubha suits Buddhist altars, meditation rooms, yoga studios, Dharma centers, peaceful home interiors, and collections of authentic Himalayan art.

It also makes a meaningful gift for Buddhist practitioners and admirers of traditional Nepalese craftsmanship.
